• Needs and peculiarities of the rural area. Structural developments in agriculture.

• Farming and the need to transition to business-type farms.

• The economic results of the operation of agricultural holdings.

• Agricultural policy tools, mechanisms and problems.

• The Common Agricultural Policy and its evolution.

• Special agricultural policy issues: food safety and quality.

• Young farmers and the need to renew the rural population.

• Rural development policies.

• Agricultural cooperatives and their role in rural development.

• Development strategies of agricultural cooperatives.

• Analysis and evaluation of agricultural policy measures, analysis of productivity and efficiency of the agricultural sector.

 

Tutorial exercises

Solving exercises and problems in order to better understand the theory, and to demonstrate its practical application.
