The strategic objectives of the Department of Sustainable Agriculture are aligned with those of the University and include:
Providing High-Quality Education: Emphasizing student-centered learning, continuously upgrading the Undergraduate Program of Studies (UPS) through the institutionalized process of annual review, and updating and standardizing academic functions.
The focus on Learning Outcomes ensures that upon successful completion of the UPS, graduates will be able to:
- Design and develop technical solutions for the effective and sustainable management of agricultural environments and natural resources,
- Analyze agricultural challenges related to air, soil, water, food, and the natural and human-made environment by identifying appropriate methodologies and collecting and analyzing agricultural data,
- Develop optimal solutions for preventing, controlling, or remedying agricultural problems,
- Design, assess, and implement projects for harnessing solar and wind energy, as well as sustainable environmental resources, while evaluating and minimizing the environmental impacts of conventional and alternative energy projects,
- Analyze the effects of climate change on agricultural ecosystems,
- Conduct geotechnical studies for both private and public sectors,
- Support and develop centers for agricultural education and public awareness.

The quality assurance procedures outlined in the University's Quality Manual are implemented at the Department of Sustainable Agriculture with necessary contextual adjustments. All quality assurance processes within the Department are subject to annual inspection and review, conducted by the Internal Evaluation Team (OMEA) in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of the University.
