5) Thermal technologies for the management of agricultural wastes and residues

6) Biological technologies for agricultural wastes and residue management

7) Aerobic treatment of solid agricultural residues (composting)

8) Agronomic evaluation of the produced compost

9) Design and operation of a composting unit

10) Anaerobic treatment of solid agricultural residues for biogas production

11) Design and operation of an anaerobic digestion unit for one or more organic residues

12) Solid, liquid and gaseous products from the energy conversion of agricultural wastes and residues

 

LABORATORY EXERCISES

1. Preparation of agricultural wastes and residues for processing (shredding, drying)

2. Determination of moisture and solids in samples of agricultural wastes and residues

3. Elemental analysis of samples (determination of C,H,N,S,P)

4. Determination of calorific value (energy content) of agricultural wastes and residues

5. Composting agricultural wastes and residues

6. Anaerobic digestion of agricultural wastes and residues
