1) Introduction (energy consumption and environmental problems, basic concepts, energy conversions)

2) Energy Sources (conventional, renewable and alternative energy sources, energy balance, energy sources in Greece and worldwide)

3) Agriculture as a consumer and producer of energy

4) Energy inputs – outputs in agriculture. Direct and indirect energy use

5) Solar energy

6) Solar collectors and calculation of degree of efficiency

7) Photovoltaic systems - Applications in the agricultural economy

8) Biomass (agricultural and forestry residues and energy plants)

9) Bioenergy (gaseous, liquid and solid biofuels) and agricultural economy

10) Wind energy and wind turbine technology

11) Hydropower

12) Geothermal energy- high-average and low enthalpy systems in agricultural processing

13) Environmental assessment of renewable energy systems - Relevant legislation
